Privacy Policy
This policy applies to Pureader for Mac, iPhone and iPad.

Local document access
Pureader opens and edits files that you choose through Finder or the system document browser. Reading, rendering, searching and ordinary editing happen on your device. Pureader does not upload your documents to servers operated by the developer.
Optional AI Edit
AI Edit is optional and begins only after you choose a provider, enter an instruction and select Generate. You review the complete suggestion before deciding whether to apply it.
Siri AI
Siri AI uses Apple's system-provided on-device model. Pureader does not send the document to one of the cloud AI providers listed below when this option is selected.
Cloud AI providers
If you configure a cloud provider, Pureader sends the document source, your editing instruction, the selected model and technical request data directly from your device to that provider. Supported choices include OpenAI/ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Google Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, SiliconFlow, Mistral, Groq and a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
The developer does not operate an AI proxy and does not receive your document or API key. API keys are stored in the Apple Keychain on your device. The selected provider may process or retain submitted content under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not submit confidential material unless you accept that provider's practices.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Pureader does not include advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking. The developer does not sell personal data.
Retention and deletion
The developer does not maintain accounts or a server-side document history. You can remove a cloud API key in Pureader's settings. Requests already sent to a provider are governed by that provider's retention and deletion controls.
