Supported files

Pureader directly opens and edits UTF-8 text files in these families:

• Rendered documents: HTML, Markdown, TeX and AsciiDoc
• Structured data: JSON, CSV, XML, YAML, OPML, INI, TOML and CONF
• Plain text: TXT and LOG
• Source code: Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift, Go, Rust and shell scripts

PDF, EPUB and proprietary document packages are not supported in Pureader 2.0.

AI Edit help

Siri AI requires a supported Apple Intelligence device and an available on-device model. Cloud AI requires your own API key for the provider you select. No cloud request is made until you explicitly choose Generate.

When something goes wrong

Please include your device type, operating-system version, Pureader version, file extension and the steps that reproduce the issue. A screenshot is helpful. Do not attach a confidential document; use a reduced sample when possible.
